Mother Teresa once said, “Joy is the net whereby we can catch souls.” Fran believes that laughter is good medicine and quickly connects with her audience by relating everyday-life, humorous stories. Although Fran has experienced some tough blows, she has chosen joy in the journey as she relies daily upon the Lord’s provision, strength, and comfort. She exercises her gift of encouragement and shares the principles of faith that have sustained her through the years. Fran finds that “listening” as well as speaking is an important part of her ministry. One of her favorite verses is Isa. 26: 3, “Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Thee because he trusts in Thee.” A graduate of Bible Study Fellowship, Fran loves God and His Word. In her inspirational presentations, she showcases her Lord Jesus Christ as she says, “Without Him, I am nothing.” Fran has a heart for country churches and is willing to speak for smaller groups.

Fran works part-time as a registered nurse, and is an organist at her church where she assists her husband in teaching a couples’ class. She and her physician-husband of 40+ years are the parents of a son, a married daughter, and grandparents to two granddaughters and a grandson.

Fran is the author of Touching the Clouds: Encouraging Stories to Make Your Faith Soar (2003) and See You Later, Jeffrey (1988), and both have been translated into Russian. She also co-authored the best-selling book, Courage for the Chicken-Hearted. She has contributed to sixteen other books, including Chicken Soup for the Christian Soul 2 (2005). Her magazine articles have been published in Decision, MOODY, Home Life, Pray!, Virtue, The Joyful Woman, and many others.
